Gastrointestinal: nausea, dyspepsia, abdominal pain
Dizziness and drowsiness
Headache
Injection site pain (IM administration)
Nasal spray: nasal irritation, throat irritation, rhinorrhea
Edema
Gastrointestinal bleeding, peptic ulcer, perforation — risk increases markedly after 5 days
Acute kidney injury — especially with volume depletion, elderly, concurrent diuretics/ACE inhibitors
Cardiovascular events: MI, stroke (class effect with chronic NSAID use; less relevant with short-term use)
Hepatotoxicity (rare)
Bleeding: inhibits platelet aggregation (reversible unlike aspirin)
Anaphylaxis and hypersensitivity reactions
Bronchospasm in aspirin-sensitive asthma (AERD)
Stevens-Johnson syndrome (rare)
Aseptic meningitis (rare)
