Privacy Policy

MedCentralHubis a frontend-only reference site. Most of what you do here — saving a medicine to your shelf, recording a recent search, logging a blood pressure reading in a tracker — happens entirely on your own device using your browser's localStorage. We do not run a backend database, we do not store user accounts, and we cannot read the data you save locally.

The only personal information we receive is what is incidentally collected by standard third-party services we use to operate the site: an analytics provider that helps us understand which pages are read, and an advertising network that pays for the site's hosting and editorial work. Each of those is detailed below, along with your rights to opt out.

The following data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. It is bound to the domain medcentralhub.com and accessible only to scripts running on MedCentralHub. We — the operators of this site — cannot read it. It does not leave your device.

• My Medicine Shelf: Medicines you add for quick reference, along with any private notes you attach.
• Recent searches: A short list of recent search queries to power autocomplete and quick re-access.
• Health trackers: Self-logged measurements such as blood pressure, weight, glucose, mood, or symptom diaries.
• DoseClock reminders: Medication reminder schedules you configure for yourself.
• Personal notes: Free-text notes you create in My Tools.
• UI preferences: Theme, font size, recently viewed conditions, and similar settings.

Because this data lives only in your browser, clearing browser storage, using a different device, or switching browsers will remove it. We provide an Export / Import feature in My Tools > Settings so you can back up or move your data manually if you wish.

MedCentralHub does not require — and does not offer — user accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, payment information, or any other personally identifiable information (PII) directly through the site. Newsletter sign-ups, when offered, are handled by a third-party email service whose privacy policy applies; you may decline and continue using the site fully.

We do not knowingly collect health information about you. The tracker tools you use are entirely client-side: nothing you enter is transmitted to our servers, and we have no technical means to view it.

MedCentralHub uses cookies and similar browser storage for three purposes:

• Essential / functional: Storing your UI preferences, consent choices, and the localStorage data described above. These are necessary for the site to function and cannot be disabled while using the site.
• Analytics: We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider to count page views and understand which content is most useful. Analytics cookies do not capture form input, do not record your screen, and use IP-address truncation or hashing where supported.
• Advertising: MedCentralHub is supported by advertisements served by Google AdSense and may include other approved advertising partners. These networks may set cookies to serve relevant ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud. They operate under their own privacy policies.

You can review and adjust Google's ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. You can opt out of third-party personalized advertising at the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out and the Your Online Choices portal in the EU.

Even though we do not store personal information on our servers, residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, and other jurisdictions with comparable privacy laws have specific rights that we honor.

GDPR (EU/UK) rightsinclude the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to processing of personal data; the right to data portability; and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Because we do not maintain personal records, most of these rights are satisfied by clearing your browser's storage for MedCentralHub.

CCPA / CPRA (California) rightsinclude the right to know what categories of personal information are collected, the right to delete personal information held by the business, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. MedCentralHub does not sell personal information for money. To exercise the opt-out from sharing for behavioral advertising, follow the ad-network opt-out links above or enable the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser; we honor GPC.

MedCentralHubis intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We instruct our advertising partners not to serve personalized or behaviorally targeted advertisements to users we identify as minors, in keeping with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and comparable protections elsewhere.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has usedMedCentralHub in a way that may have caused personal information to be collected by a third-party service used on the site, please contact us at privacy@medcentralhub.com so we can investigate.

Because MedCentralHubdoes not store user-specific data on its servers, our retention policy is straightforward: we retain zero personal data. The localStorage data on your device is retained as long as you choose to keep it and is removed when you clear your browser's storage. Hosting and CDN logs collected by our hosting provider may be retained for a short operational period (typically 30 days or less) for the purposes of security, fraud prevention, and abuse mitigation; these logs are not joined to any user identity.

Analytics and advertising cookies are retained according to the policies of those third-party providers. Most analytics cookies expire within 13 months; most advertising cookies expire within 13 months unless renewed.

MedCentralHub relies on a small number of third-party services to operate. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

• Hosting / CDN:Serves the site's static files and edge content.
• Analytics provider: Aggregated usage statistics.
• Google AdSense: Advertising. See Google's advertising policies for details.
• Public health APIs: OpenFDA, RxNorm, MedlinePlus, CDC, NIH — all U.S. government data sources used at build time only. They do not interact with you directly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, new features, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
