Gallstone dissolution: 8–10 mg/kg/day in 2–3 divided doses. Treatment duration: 6–24 months; continue for 3 months after stones dissolve. Gallstone prevention (post-bariatric): 300 mg twice daily. Primary biliary cholangitis: 13–15 mg/kg/day in 2–4 divided doses.
Pediatric PBC: 10–15 mg/kg/day. Safety data limited in children. Used off-label for biliary atresia.
No dose adjustment required.
