Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
Hepatotoxicity (cholestatic jaundice, hepatic failure — rare)
Hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis
Hearing loss (with high doses or prolonged use)
Myasthenia gravis exacerbation
Severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
