AAdult Dosing

Nitrofurantoin Capsules, USP (monohydrate/macrocrystals) should be taken with food. Adults and Pediatric Patients Over 12 Years: One 100 mg capsule every 12 hours for seven days.

General Dosing Tips

Missed dose: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not double up doses.

Overdose: If you suspect an overdose, contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or call 911 immediately.
