Hypertension: 12.5–25mg once daily; max 50mg/day for hypertension; Edema: 25–100mg daily or intermittently (max 200mg/day in divided doses)
Hypertension: 1–2 mg/kg/day in 1–2 divided doses (max 37.5mg/day for <2 years; 100mg/day for 2–12 years).
Use with caution when CrCl <30 mL/min. Thiazides are generally less effective as diuretics when eGFR falls below 30. CONTRAINDICATED in anuria.
Use with caution in severe hepatic impairment; hypokalemia can precipitate hepatic encephalopathy.
